E-books, tablets and ipads Vs books and laptops.
E-books, also known as digital books, are the evolution of conventional printed books, used for centuries to educate, inform and communicate ideas and knowledge. The electronic version of printed book became popular when amazon, the No 1 selling online book store in the U.S.A. introduced the Amazon Kindle, the ebook reader device. The kidle can hold up to 1500 books!
A few days ago apple computers entered the market, giving a boost to the ebook industry, by introducing the ipad, a multimedia device and ebook reader, that allows you to surf the net, read and buy newspapers and book online. The educational process can benefit a lot from the rich multimedia material and the open interactive environment used by such devices. A personal computer and the internet was not part of our lives 20 years ago but now are considered assential to our work and leisure time. Do you see ebooks as something that will replace printed books or as another gadget trend?

Actually iPad was initially created to be something between a laptop and a smart phone. It is in fact a bigger version of iPod and by extend with 3G to iPhone. After they saw how easy it was to read newspapers , surf the internet and other stuff they decided to introduce the iPad with this one of their main point on "why an iPad is worth buying". I believe that ebooks will eventually replace the books , as we can see in some countries they use Laptops in classes and seldomly books. After all it's so much better holding something in your hands so thinner and weightless than a normal book,as well as being able to read any book you like through it. I , however , do not recommend anyone who already has an iPhone or iPod to buy one of these , since what they gain is an easier keyboard , bigger screen and a few thousand more colours. On the other hand , I strongly recommend anyone who wants a laptop to prefer the iPad instead. Cheaper, faster, better :).

What can I say ... Although, I do not know a lot about this issue, I think many people will choose them and many people not..It is sure that in future all will be replaced by new advanced technology items! Technology is part of our daily lives and we have reached a point that we are addicted to it.

The video was fantastic!
Sokrath, the last sentense sound like a commercial :P
So, e-books might be more practical or weightless but the eyes will suffer! Guaranteed!
I prefer the ordinary books which you can touch and smell. Many people like to sense objects to memorize them. E-books are just a trend which soon will fade away. As we all know, people will create new and more improved technology. I still prefer the books that i can touch and they have a greater value as the years pass.
