Teenagers throwing stones, cars and buildings are on fire, and Greek police firing tear gas are the only images being broadcast to the world, as rioting in Greece enters its third day with more demonstrations planned. But the unrest started long before the senseless shooting of 15-year-old Alexandros-Andreas Grigoropoulos. The officer described firing warning shots but witnesses have said he took aim at the boy. Since this incident more than 50 people have been hurt and hundred of shops, banks and cars have been damaged. Police arrested about 150 people. Protests have erupted in more than 10 cities across the nation of , including northern Thessaloniki and the islands of Crete and Corfu. Greeks overseas protested in London and Berlin. It has been the worst Greece has seen since the restoration of democracy in 1974, and the question is whether democracy truly exists in a country claiming to be its birthplace!

Ι think that the policeman who kills the boy must dies in the prison because is not corect to kill a boy who is innocent.But that must be an accident with the gun which used that policeman.His mother feels so alone and she believes that her life is no worth.The police must stop now because is not corect.

My opinion about all of those bad incidents is that the policeman must remain long time in the prison because is a man with psychologically problems.I don't believe that one boy 15 years old was threat as a result the polican killed him.Policeman said that he killed the boy because he wanted to protect himself.I think that this way was not corect and he must pay for this fault. i think that the policemen is very dangerous and didn't behave well and they have killed another adolescent before.the situation was very bad last week and the governtment was very confused.i feel very sorry about alex becouse it was very young and he hasn't lift her life but i feel sorry about polisman family becouse he has 3 children and are young yet.

i feel very sorry about the 15-years old boy death.i think it was very unfair and unhuman.whole Greece is very shocked about this fact.the policeman says that it was an accident but i think it wasn't.the death of the 15-years old boy was the cause for all these riots all over the country.unfortunately some people wanted only to burn cars,stores and blocks of flats.

I think that this situation is not good for our country. Lots of shops and houses are destroyed. In my opinion we should comlain about the boy's death, but without destroying the other's fortune.
Now,as concerned the policeman, she should be punished and be resigned from the police.He's one of the men that is not worth to talk about.

In my opinion, the policeman has psycological problems and he reacted mindless and he have to pay for that. I also think that the vandalism isn't the right way to honour the unfairly killed boy-Alex. Now Greece, is in flames and the government doesn't do anything to protect the citizens.

I think that the incidents happened the last days in Greece do not indicate that Greece has lost it's democratic character.These incidents are signs of an oppressed part of people which has choosen with this way to show their dislikes about the current situation in Greece.Of course many people liked the "revolutionary" situation because it is for some the only way to react in a global and ethnic oppression.We all have to consider society problems globally.Countries and people do not live in a vacuum.We are a melting pot and therefore actions have reactions.So the best to do is when we all act to think the reactions that will be brought.

I think that,because of the crisis people saw the stores "open" and undefendable and they attacked them and stole everything there was in it.There were also Anarchysts who found the chance to destroy everything they could and giving the opportunity for the other people to do what they did.So the "beginners" of this situation were the Anarchysts and then the other "poor" people continued doing what the Anarchysts do.Also a lot of people had problems with banks(owned a lot of money,didn't get their pention in time) so they destroyed all the banks they could find in response. >>Vogiatzakis Sokratis FCE1<<
I think that the policeman who killed the boy was corrupted.He should tell to the boy:Hey,you stop and come with me to the police station.That's all.It was wrong he killed him.
Otherwise he could tell the boy:Return to your home.
Onother way was to tell him:Tell me your home's phone.etc

In my opinion the policeman that shooted the boy must go in prison(as it would happen if he was an ordinary man).I also agree with the students,that they are making protest marches.But I disagree with the idea of destroying shops,banks,cars and generally other's men property,as some anarchists do.

i think that the policeman should not shoot the kid because he was only 16 years old.i think that he should ask from the kid follow him to the police station and call at his home to tell where he is.An other way that he could handle the theme is to ask him peacefully return to his home.
